What an honor to write a word of endorsement and encouragement to my sister, Gwen Aqueelah Salaam, as she becomes a first-time author. I view myself as one of her many sounding boards that helped her bring this project to life.

... Done All The Time, was written in my opinion, so that she could birth out of her heart and soul all the many experiences and challenges she, her son Qa'id and other family members lived through during his unjust but necessary time of incarceration. Because Gwen is a teacher and mentor at heart, I believe she also wanted to share with other families the lessons learned through disappointment and the sense of failure they all suffered as they looked to so called professionals to rescue them from what seemed to be hell on earth.

As you read through the pages of ... Done All the Time, you will be struck by the bias and double standards conjured up by the judicial system that was set up to bring a resolution and ending that would uphold their predetermined charges regardless of the lack of evidence and or witnesses.

I believe with all my heart that GOD used Gwen and Qa'id to show the depth of  His Love and the unwavering Faith she possesses that eventually opened the doors to the freedom that only He can give.
